How is exact age in years, months and days calculated?
Subtract the birth date from the target date. If the day of the target date is smaller than the birth day, borrow the number of days in the previous month; if the month is smaller, borrow 12 months from the year. This gives a calendar-accurate years–months–days result.
How many days have I lived?
Take the difference between the two dates in milliseconds and divide by 86,400,000 (the milliseconds in a day). Someone who is exactly 25 years old has lived about 9,131 days, including leap days.
Does age calculation include leap years?
Yes. Because the calculation uses real calendar dates, every 29 February inside the period is counted automatically, both in the years–months–days result and the total days.
