🔐 Password Generator
Quick answer
Strong passwords are long and random: every extra character multiplies the time needed to guess them. This generator uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (the same source operating systems use for security keys) — never a predictable pattern. A 16-character password with all character types has about 105 bits of entropy, which would take trillions of years to brute-force.

How to use the Password Generator
- Set the length with the slider — 16 or more characters is recommended.
- Tick the character types to include (all four is strongest).
- Click Generate new, check the strength meter, then Copy.
- Paste it into your password manager — never reuse it on another site.
Frequently asked questions
How long should my password be?
At least 14–16 characters for important accounts. Length matters more than complexity: a 20-character password of letters only beats an 8-character one full of symbols.
Are the passwords stored or sent anywhere?
No. Passwords are generated locally in your browser with crypto-grade randomness and are never transmitted or saved — the history list lives only in this tab.
What does "bits of entropy" mean?
Entropy measures unpredictability: each bit doubles the guesses an attacker needs. 50 bits is weak, 80+ bits is strong, and 120+ bits is beyond any realistic brute-force attack.
