📄 Lorem Ipsum Generator
Quick answer
Lorem ipsum is placeholder (dummy) text used in design and publishing to show how a layout will look before the real words are ready. It comes from a scrambled passage of classical Latin written by Cicero in 45 BC, and has been the printing industry standard since the 1500s.

Frequently asked questions
Why do designers use lorem ipsum instead of real text?
Placeholder text lets clients judge the layout, typography and spacing without being distracted by reading the content. It also shows roughly how much space the final text will occupy.
Is the generated text always the same?
No. Sentences are built fresh from the classic lorem ipsum word bank every time, with random lengths, so each result is slightly different — except the optional traditional opening line.
Can I use this text in a real product?
Lorem ipsum is free to use as temporary filler anywhere. Just remember to replace it with real content before publishing, because visitors (and search engines) cannot understand what your page is about from dummy text.
